What’s the saying? All good things come in threes!
37-year-old Kimberly Alacron not only gave birth to twins, but also amazed the staff at Westchester University Hospital in New York.
While the birth of the sisters doesn’t sound like anything too special at first glance, it is actually a really special case, with a probability of around 1 in 200,000 that it will occur.
The little girls, Kenzy and Kenzley, are the third set of twins born to Alacron and her husband, John!
In addition to the children, Brittney (17), Sarah (13), Hunter (10), and King (3), the family also includes twins Zachary and Zoey (both 6), and Olivia and Oliver (both 4).
So one thing is clear: there is always something going on in the Alarcon’s house. And that’s exactly what the mother of ten wouldn’t trade for anything in the world. And that’s no wonder! As the 37-year-old said, she grew up with a total of 17 siblings.
“Having a full house is normal for me,” she smiled. “Not only were we 18 siblings, but our friends also came to visit. Sometimes we had 30 children there at once.”
Kimberly Alacron announced the birth of her twins, Kenzy and Kenzley, on her Instagram account, @10andkim. They were born on April 25, 2022 by C-section. Kenzy, who weighed 4lbs 15oz, was 3 minutes older than her little big sister Kenzley, who weighed 5lbs 9oz.
Her husband, John, grew up with only one brother but always longed for a large family. And now he has.
“It’s always busy, but we’re grateful,” she finally smiled, admitting that her husband would love to have more children. The special thing about Kimberly Alacron’s third twin pregnancy: All six children were born naturally.
“Three pairs of twins in a row without medication or other interventions are highly unlikely,” a doctor at the university hospital said. “This is really amazing.”
