“You’ll Be in My Heart” is the perfect lullaby to keep a baby from crying, but if you’re an adult, it just might have the opposite effect! At least that’s the case with this heartwarming clip of Julian Blackmon singing this hit song to his daughter, Zella.
The moment seems to have been caught in secret — as the person recording quietly approaches, we hear music playing. Next, we see Blackmon sitting in a chair, holding his precious little one tight. Then, the magic begins, as he sings the lyrics: “Come stop your crying, it will be alright. Just take my hand; hold it tight. I will protect you from all around you. I will be here; don’t you cry.”
This classic Phil Collins song comes from the movie “Tarzan,” and it was truly made for moments like this. As Blackmon beautifully belts out these calming, reassuring lyrics, little Zella doesn’t seem to have a care in the world.
