Couple Welcomes Sextuplets After Fertility Struggles. Baby Photos With Rainbow Themes Have Gone Viral

Eric and Courtney Waldrop recently became parents to a set of sextuplets, and the babies recently made it home – all healthy.

The Alabama-based family enlisted the help of photographer Ashley-Sargent to commemorate the occasion. Ashley organized a picture shoot for the babies, but she also included their three older brothers in the stunning photos.

The Waldrop sextuplets are named Rivers, Rayne, Rawlings, Blu, Tag, and Layke. They were born on December 11, in Alabama.

In August of that year, the couple announced to the world that they were expecting sextuplets. In that same month, they also revealed their babies’ genders.

Courtney told PEOPLE that they were concerned when they learned they were having six children. One of her fears was her petite frame and whether her body could accommodate six babies at once.

Eric and Courtney have been together since middle school and all they wanted was to start a family. The pair got married in 2004. Their first child, Saylor, was born in 2008 and twin boys followed in 2012.

Courtney experienced several heartbreaking miscarriages and disappointments as she struggled with conceiving her babies. Her twin boys were born with the help of fertility treatments.

They chose to forego fertility treatments when they wanted to attempt their fourth child. However, after another miscarriage, they realized that they needed medical help if they wanted to have additional children.

It was heartbreaking since I can easily become pregnant, but I can’t keep them.

The treatments were specially made so that Courtney would not conceive more than two fetuses, but that was not really how things turned out. So with her history of miscarriages, the couple had to put their faith in God that their six babies would survive.

Thankfully, they did, in spite of having some medical concerns that kept them in the hospital for a little while. Now that they are home, the couple celebrated by dressing their babies in the colors of the rainbow and Ashley took beautiful photos.

The Waldrops certainly have a lot to be grateful for and we are thrilled they now have their big happy and healthy family.
